Congratulations to all Year 13 Students
May 18, 2015
By Mr J Whitelock, Head of Sixth Form
The Year 13 Student Leadership Team have been very active this year

They have shown time and again that they have the ability and commitment to organise and support numerous events (Far too many to mention), for both the whole school and the Sixth Form, ably supported by some enthusiastic Year 12 students.

One of many events was the trek up Snowdon, raising funds for Isabel Hospice. The target set was £2000 and to date this has been exceeded (The total stands at £2,584.00 - 129%). A wonderful effort with bags of enthusiasm was shown by the 14 students (& Mr Hobbs and Miss Loader). Thanks should be given to ALL those who contributed towards the total, without your generosity the money would not have been raised.

By Dr K Pammenter, Librarian
This year a group of our keenest readers are shadowing the CLIP Carnegie Medal. Students read and review the shortlisted books and keep our shadowing website updated.

On ‘judgement day’, 22nd June, the group will gather in the library for a party to celebrate their hard work and to watch the announcement of the winning book live.

Visit the CLIP Carnegie Shadowing website, click on ‘reading groups’ and search for our group ‘Shadow Chancellor’s’ to see our book reviews, opinion polls and latest blogs.

May 13, 2015
By The PE Department
After half term we will be doing the final count up of our vouchers for school. Can I ask that you have one final look around for any more that you would like to donate and send them in via your son or daughter to be handed into their form tutor or PE teacher.

Thank you
