Year 7 welcome party
October 18, 2013
By Meryem Ismail, Year 12 Student
On the 27th September, the Sixth Form hosted a party for the year 7 students as an exciting way to welcome them to Chancellor's School.

It was a very well attended event with around 150 students turning up ready to have a good time! The year 7's started to attend at 6pm and were looking their best - with many wearing pretty dresses and other smart attire. There were soft drinks and refreshments on sale and music playing the whole night, to which everybody had a little boogie.

The children did a very good job of keeping the party alive as well as encouraging sixth formers and teachers to get involved too, especially Dylan Taylor who, eventually, got up on stage and joined in with the Macarena. I think it is safe to say that it was an extremely successful event where everybody had an enjoyably time! So we would like to say well done and a very big thank you to everyone who attended and helped out on the night; it is not one to be forgotten!
Willows 10k Run at Hatfield House
October 06, 2013
By Rifat Alam and Meryem Ismail, Chancellor's Sixth Form.
On Sunday 6th October 2013 around forty Chancellor's sixth formers, a few members of staff and some dogs took part in the Willows 10k run held at Hatfield House; being our biggest team yet.

It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone was raring to go. We took part in a group warm up before the race commenced at 11am. Our fastest runner was Barney Grice in year 12 coming in 38th place completing the run in just over 47 minutes. Soon followed Patrick Dawson-Goodey, Rifat Alam, Tom Church and Lucas Small who all completed the run in under an hour. A very well done to our very own Olympian, Mr Whitelock who beat his previous record by getting 01:01:47.

As we finished the race we were congratulated by Bob Wilson and he told us we did Chancellors proud. We raised just over £1000 and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Thank you and well done to everyone who was involved. We hope the turnout is as great as this in following years.

• Improvements to the main school hall

By completing the form (click here for a pdf version) you can either make a one-off donation to the Chancellor’s School Fund or set up a regular donation by standing order.
